You will meet the doctor and discuss billing, finances, personnel, technology, and processes.
You will learn to:

  1. Ask doctor to fill out an 11-question survey and find out practice specialty, revenue, billing quality, and its costs.
  2. Quantify added revenue to the doctor using Affinity Billing Added Revenue Calculator.
  3. Comfortably operate with such concepts like percent of accounts receivable beyond 120 days, rates of claim denial, ICD-9 and CPT codes, days to payment, superbill, straight-through billing, billing transparency, HIPAA compliance, etc. None of these concepts are hard or time-consuming to grasp and Billing Academy will train you on using them.
  4. Demonstrate Affinity Billing service, including our billing operations and doctor’s control system, using an Internet-connected computer in the doctor’s office:
    a. Claim submission status
    b. HCFA form
    c. Data drill-in and aggregation
    d. Discovery of lost revenue
    e. Bad coding error resolution
